Customer Reviews
Troubadour Live _Carole King & James taylor
A pretty decent CD&DVD for those who remember these two back in their prime. They have not lost their touch and the recording quality was very good (better than I expected). A must have for fans of these artists.
2 of the greatest return to the Troubadour!
bought this after watching a recent broadcast on P.B.S.
Pkg. contains the cd. and the dvd., great bargain!
Old Friends
This is an excellent concert (at the Troubador), better than either of them in concert alone -- they have a magic friendliness together that comes over -- and also they spell each other off -- a lot of each of them alone, and they begin to become wearisome, together it works. They are currently on tour, which suggests that it would be something to see if you can stand the pure yuppie wallowing -- big incomes, metabolic rate slowing down, gravity, the whole catastrophe at work......
The concert features other old friends -- Kunkel, Kooch, Leland, Peter Asher on controls -- what more do you want?
The filming is also excellent, good choices all around: just a great evening captured. The whole thing is better than, for example, Taylor's One Man Band (though some of the jokes are familiar in the telling.....).
Small pleasures: nice to hear Blossom again.
