Editorial Reviews
Product Description
One of the kingpins of Jamaican reggae music, Banton delivers his most musically audacious work to date. This album unites Buju's vocals with organic roots reggae rhythms carefully crafted by a select aggregation of Kingston, Jamaica's finest musicians. His 1992 debut "Mr. Mention" earned him more #1 singles than any other Jamaican artist, including Bob Marley, and his 1995 Grammy-nominated "'Til Shiloh" remains one of the best-selling reggae albums of all time.
Customer Reviews
Buju gone bad
Buju has created nothing new with Rasta Got Soul; the cd wasn't exactly terrible but it was a replay of previous songs. I pray his artistic talent is not suffering from personal issues.
Sucks!!!!
I'm been a huge reggae fan for the last 20 years. I loved Buju's old music it was killer. This is not like his older music at all. It's very bring and has no feeling at all!!!! Stay away from this old fans.
Fantastic
Great work by Buju. Just as the name says, it's full of soul and you can listen to the entire album because it's all good!
ok, not great
cocaine distribution charges aside, banton is doing 'ok' with his efforts recording, but this CD does NOT rise above average......this will be 'cool' for a very narrow audience of die-hards
Good cd
I was a little dissaponted with this cd as I really expected more since I heard Magic City a few years ago and I thought the songs would be as good. Still this is a good cd .
