These long-lasting extra stoppers are designed to work with the vacuum-style pump (sold separately) to keep a wine fresh. Made of high-quality rubber, they won't affect the taste of the wine. And the method is simple--just place a stopper in the opening of a bottle, place the pump over the stopper, and pump air out until you feel some resistance. They really do hold a vacuum which in turn keeps your wine as new and fresh as the day you purchased it!

Fresh Wine

We have been using this system for years. When I was down to my last cork, I looked on Amazon and lucked out. They had the same system I have been using Vacu Vin Wine Saver. I was able to get the saver corks at an affordable price. Thanks.

Bring back the original design.

Please, Vacu Vin, won't you bring back the old design?! Those slightly softer ones with the slit on the top and three ridges on the bottom? The ones that don't, on occasion, slip up in the bottle, leaving wine oxidized -- the ones that don't fall out in transit, spoiling a cooler's content with spilt wine? I have a couple of the old ones left and am guarding them with great care, so as not to lose one of these precious, quality stoppers. Won't you please make these again? You could even call them "deluxe" and sell them for 50% more. One bottle of spilt or stale wine would make it worth a return to quality -- and I have had three such disappointment with this design.

New version of stoppers

These new stoppers fit, pump, and hold a better vacuum than their predecessors. That said, they have always worked as advertised, keeping things fresh in a canister or bottle; wine often lasting two weeks after being opened.
